How To Trust God With Your Finances When The Money Math Ain’t Mathing
Let’s get really honest here. Trusting God with your money is really scary. It’s scary to me for several reasons. Number 1, what does it even mean to trust God with your money, and what does it require me to do?
As someone who is very literal, I don’t do well with vague statements like “honoring God with your money” because I don’t fully understand how to apply that to my life in practical terms.
And then, if you are someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, how frightening is it to even consider trusting God with your money when you don’t know what that trust entails?
I’m going to give you my honest opinion on what trusting God with your money means, why it can be such a struggle, and some concrete tips on how to wrap your head around these concepts and apply them to your life.
But I’m going to be honest. I have not mastered any of this myself.
I can know all day long what I should do and even advise other people on what they should do, but that doesn’t mean I’m doing it perfectly myself.
So trust me when I say there is no judgment here whatsoever. I hope this post will help you in your quest to honor the Lord, but I know it’s a work in progress for sure.
