For a long time, I struggled to write down my goals and stick to them. All the goals seemed important, and I couldn’t figure out what to prioritize. I ended up sitting and staring at my life planner for hours. It all seemed intimidating until I figured out how to use my planner properly.
Deciding the goals to track in a planner can feel like too much. We may need to view life planners differently. A life planner is not just another to-do list, but a tool that can help you organize your life better.

And I know 50 planner goal ideas seem like a lot. You do not need all of them. Just pick the few that impact your life the most right now.

Why Your Week Feels Chaotic Even With a Planner
If you have tried organizing your week with a planner, only to end up with a chaotic week, there could be lots of reasons, including:
If you struggle with chaos despite your efforts at planning, then you need new digital planner ideas. You need a digital planner that:
These life planner ideas will transform your weekly planning and activities.
Idea 1: Make a Weekly Dashboard Page with Quick Links
Your planner’s dashboard page is like your home base. This weekly dashboard should have a single page that links to all other pages, including:
Instead of flipping through multiple pages, you can navigate all your pages from the single dashboard page.
This is one of the best digital planner ideas for beginners because it helps them add structure to their activities from the get-to.
The key to getting your dashboard right is keeping it simple with few texts and a link.

Idea 2: Use a Running to-do list
A running lists helps you to write out all your tasks in a continuing order, rather than writing tasks for every day separately. A running list is helpful because:
Your daily tasks run into each other, so you don’t need to play catch up when activities move into the next day.
You see all your activities for the entire week in one place.
Prioritizing tasks become easier and more realistic.
A good way to structure your running to-do list is to organize it using titles like:
These titles help your weekly planner digital organization to feel much easier and less pressuring.
Idea 3: Add a Simple Digital Meal Plan
Keep your meal plan simple so you don’t feel overwhelmed trying to feed yourself every day.
You can create 5-7 ideas for each meal so you don’t have to come up with new ideas every week. What I mean by this is that you have 5-7 ideas for breakfast, 5-7 meal ideas for lunch and so on.
Then you just choose which ones you want that week and rotate as needed.
I would also leave room in your schedule for takeout and leftovers. I have a post about meal planning here that will help explain everything further. LINK
The benefit of a digital meal plan is that it you have the plan on your phone. That way, if you’re in the store and you want to look over your plan because you need a few ingredients, you’ve got it right there.
Having your plan digitally takes away the stress and fatigue associated with deciding on what to eat.
This practical life planner idea not only supports your schedule, it also supports your health.
Idea 4: One Line a Day Digital Journal Section
Sometimes, journaling can be exhausting because you’re trying to write a lot. But you don’t need long hours of journaling to feel grounded. Keeping it as simple as one line a day can help you:
In no time, you’ll have a lovely record of your life that you’ve put together free of pressure.
This approach is perfect for women who want to embrace mindfulness without the pressure and commitment of long writing sessions.
Idea 5: Track Only a Few Habits Digitally
One mistake many women make is tracking too many habits at once. This leaves you feeling overwhelmed and underproductive.
Instead, keep them within 2-4 habits at a time, including:
This habit tracking approach is helpful for beginner digital planner users who want to pursue consistency in healthy habits without feeling overwhelmed.
Idea 6: Add a Brain Dump box to Clear Mental Clutter
Take the ideas and thoughts cluttering your brain and write them down on your digital planner.
Don’t worry about organizing it. Just unload your mind to the digital pages without judgment.
You’ll have a clearer mind with less anxiety and mental stress.
This is one of the most powerful digital planning tips for women who struggle with mental overload.
Do you have lots of ideas swirling around in your head and you can’t keep track of everything? Then you need to do a brain dump. I show you how in this post!

Idea 7: Create a Weekly Top Three To-Do List
Rather than filling your digital planner with long lists of tasks that you won’t finish, prioritize three tasks out of all you have to do every week.
To decide on the priority tasks, ask yourself this question:
Which three tasks will I complete this week that’ll make my week feel successful even if I didn’t achieve anything else?
Write out those as your priority tasks and start with them before other less important ones.
This method will help you finish the tasks that matter most and avoid the burnout associated with trying to do everything.
Idea 8: Add a Self-Care Reminder Box
It is easier to get carried away with work that you forget to take care of yourself. This is where a self-care reminder box comes in.
Include reminders like:
Including these reminders in your planner helps you make self-care a part of your productivity plans, not outside it.
Idea 9: Do a Quick Finance Check-In
The massive budget spreadsheet can be overwhelming. So, replace it with a simple finance check-in section that reminds you of several important financial activities, including:
This weekly digital planner setup keeps you aware and in control of your finances without stress or pressure.
Idea 10: End Each Week with a Five-Minute Review
At the end of every week, spend five minutes reflecting on the week you had. Ask yourself the following questions:
These digital review sessions help you to constantly adjust your digital planner ideas to suit your lifestyle naturally, rather than boxing you into routines that overwhelm you.
Conclusion
By using these life planner ideas, you can create a weekly routine that feels calm, reduces stress and mental clutter, and helps you feel organized without pressure or overwhelm.
Start with a few of these ideas and naturally build them into your life. Feel free to adjust your digital ideas planner setup as your realities evolve.
Remember, the need is peaceful productivity, one week at a time.
Existing in a world that was not built for your brain is extremely challenging. If you have ADHD, you probably struggle to remember, become inconsistent with routines, lose papers easily, and struggle to keep up with planners.
Paper planners can feel rigid and discouraging. Messy pages become obstacles, and missed days feel like failure. Digital planners are different because they can operate quickly, just like an ADHD brain.
Digital planners are adjustable and flexible, providing a way to restart with what you already have, visit different sections as your attention shifts, and duplicate pages without the need to start from scratch.
The amazing part is that you do not have to struggle to remember what you were doing. Digital planners provide reminders, color-codes, and checklists that remind you where you are in your planning.
A digital life planner is always ready to meet you exactly where you are and wait for you when life gets in the way.
To be clear, this will not be medical advice to ‘fix’ ADHD. Our focus is on practical, digital-friendly ADHD planner ideas that you’ll find helpful in everyday life.

Here are your lazy-girl-approved low-effort life improvement ideas to get started on.
Forget about the meal preps and the calorie counting. Instead, go to the deli section of your favorite supermarket and grab healthy meals like pre-cooked veggies, chicken, or ready-made salads.
With zero stress, you’ll still eat healthy. Make a list of simple and healthy meals in your Meal planner and grab some for every meal.
Result? You’ll begin to lose weight if you grab healthy meals and eat in a caloric deficit!
Need some additional super easy meal prepping ideas? Check out this blog post I wrote called: 7 Lazy & Low-Effort Meal Prep Tips For Weight Loss For Women With No Energy!
No time or energy to go to the gym? No problem. In 5 minutes, you can get your body moving every day. Just go on a walk, do simple stretches and squats while on a call or watching TV. You’ll find a lot of chair exercises online as well.
Result: You’ll get your blood pumping without any stress on your joints. You’ll lower your blood sugar, especially if you move after you eat. And you’ll begin to get stronger and leaner.
This zero-dollar tip will save both your money and your health. Replace energy drinks, coffee, or alcohol with glasses of water, and you’ll experience improved energy, mental clarity, and have your kidneys thank you for it. Get you a cute tumbler in your favorite color and fill her up with cool refreshing water twice a day.
Result: Your skin will get clearer and you’ll be less likely to snack because your stomach will be full from the water.
Those self-improvement books you never get around to reading because of your busy schedule are also available in audio formats.
Listen to a Christian podcast to learn Christian life-hacks, or an audiobook while doing the dishes, and learn from a financial expert’s podcast while folding the laundry.
Result: You’ll gain knowledge and inspiration without needing to set aside extra time. And once you start taking action on what you’ve learned, your life is sure to change!
It is easy to fall behind on reading the bible when life gets so busy, but audio Bibles are there to help you stay on track.
Listen to scriptures daily, while you’re on the road or carrying out tasks. Write your reflections in a Faith Journal and note your prayer topics in a prayer journal. You can connect with God even when your energy is low.
Say goodbye to decision fatigue and burnout from trying to do everything at once. Pre-plan your daily or weekly routine with a planner, so you know what to do at every time.
From your morning coffee to prayer and bible study time, and exercise, note everything down in a simple flow and follow it to build consistency. What you can do is plan your day the night before.
That way you will already know what you plan on doing when you wake up and you can start the day being productive.
Result: You’ll check more important items off of your to do list which will motivate you to keep going!
Handle simple tasks together in batches that are easy to handle. For instance, instead of trying to clean the entire kitchen which might be overwhelming, just empty all of the trash cans in the house and spray them with air freshener. Or instead of cleaning the whole house, clear all of the surfaces in your house.
I have pretty fabric baskets in almost every room in my house. If I don’t feel like cleaning but I don’t want to see the clutter, I throw it in that basket and it makes the house look cleaner than it really is. Sometimes looking the part is all I care about at that moment.
Result: Your house will look and smell cleaner with very little effort!

Staying grateful and prayerful is very important, no matter how busy life gets. Take 2 to 3 minutes to pray for yourself, your kids, spouse, career/business, and note everything you’re thankful for.
A prayer journal helps you build this habit and gain spiritual momentum. Just be consistent.
Result: Your relationship with God and your faith in Him will grow stronger and stronger which is a blessing within itself.
I believe I speak for a lot of us when I say decluttering is a massive challenge for many women, especially if you have a family. There’s just so much stuff, and organizing everything seems daunting.
The lazy girl strategy is to ditch long hours of decluttering. Focus on clearing a table or a desk every day. Ensure they remain clear while you move to another tiny space.
Result: In a few weeks, you’ll be shocked at what you’ve achieved and how much cleaner and more peaceful your house is.
Sometimes, having too many goals is the quickest way to not achieve any of them.
Set at least one goal for every week, and not more than three. The goal could be to exercise daily, eat healthily, or pray every day.
Use a habit tracker to track your progress and try to be consistent. Result: You’ll begin to build permanent long lasting habits that vastly improve your life!
Note: Change will be slower with these low-effort life improvement checklists, but with consistent steps, the slow progress will yield visible results.

Plus, because they are so easy to do, you don’t need to wait for a burst of energy or consistent motivation.
Every simple step you take might not overhaul your life, but it will add up consistently until it becomes a mighty change. Like they say, little drops of water can become a mighty ocean.
Cheers to you for deciding to take these lazy girl steps. I’m super proud of you, and I know you’ll do great.
Choose 1–3 ideas and get started on them this week. Go at your own pace. Don’t compare your progress to others. It’s okay to go slow, provided you get there.
Use planners or journals such as the meal planner, faith journal, or personal growth planner, to track your progress and little wins. Even minimal effort feels rewarding when you see it tracked in your planner.
I’m cheering you on, and I pray that these easy personal growth tips will turn your life around for good.
