Category Archives for "Mental Health For Overwhelmed Minds"

This has definitely been one of the biggest challenges of my life but in some ways one of my biggest successes (but only because of Christ because on my own, there’s no telling where I’d be).

I have overcome depression. Anxiety…it still creeps up its little ugly head but I’ve got some tools now to push Anxious Ally back down when I need to (or just ignore her altogether…whatever works).

I strongly suspect I have ADHD but since I don’t have an official diagnosis, I won’t claim it. I’ll just say the symptoms are very strong with this one.

Whether I’m neurodivergent or not, this brain that I’ve been blessed (oh how I want to put blessed in quotation marks but I won’t) with, has certainly challenged me far beyond what I would have preferred.

But God has been walking with me through it all and I hope to share some tips with you that will be helpful in your own mental health journey.

35 Grief Journaling Prompts To Help You Overcome A Searing, Painful Loss

When you lose someone you love (either through death or a painful divorce or breakup) it feels like your world is ending.

You may feel as if you will never be okay again and even begin resenting other people who aren’t suffering like you are.

How is it that other people can go on about life normally when yours is falling apart?

When your heart has been shattered, you need to deploy every resource available to help you cope.

If you don’t, your grieving process will seem never-ending.

One way to release your emotions is through grief journaling.

No, it won’t take away your pain but journaling will help you process the excruciating thoughts, overwhelming fears, and uncertainties that are swirling around your head right now.

I truly pray that starting a grief journal will be a tool that will bring healing and hope to you during this difficult time.

12 Creative Things To Write In Your Journal

Writing in a journal is a great way to express yourself and keep your crazy thoughts organized. It can help you feel more in control, be less stressed, and improve your mental health.

Some people (raises hand) also find it helpful when they are dealing with difficult emotions or thinking about big life changes.

However, many people struggle to know what to write about in their journals. To help you out, I’ll be sharing some ideas of things to write in your journal.

Journaling is a popular form of expressing creativity but they also are used by many people in meditation and self-care.

Keeping a journal notebook allows you to connect to yourself and look back on your memories, and to create new ones along the way. A journal can be used as so much more than a traditional diary as well.

Your journal is unique to you and can even be a big mix of things that bring you joy, help you get to know yourself, and allow you to see how far you have come.

So if you’re in search of some journaling ideas for your new creative endeavor then you’ve come to the write right place (yes that was cheesy but I couldn’t resist!). Continue reading
