Hey Sis, what does Fall mean to you? Is it just a passing season, or something more?
Every year, I look forward to fall, with its cooler temperatures, golden brown leaves, shorter days, and the slow, beautiful transition from summer to winter.
Fall is a truly transformative season, reminding us of the value of change, a quiet, calm transition that gets us all emotional.
However, many of us ladies don’t truly get to enjoy fall because our lives are a mess, and we’re constantly overwhelmed.

* 1. Create a Cozy Morning Routine with God *
Ditch fast-paced morning activities for a cozy morning routine. All you need is a warm blanket, your bible, and some alone time with God. Yes, you might have to get up earlier.
Trust me, I get it. I have to sometimes get up at 4:30 am to get stuff done before work, and I am not a morning bird. But when I do it, it is so rewarding.
Say your prayers, read your bible, and do some faith or prayer journaling before you get sucked into the chaos of the morning.
I recommend using a Faith Journal for your cozy morning with God.
* 2. Declutter Like Your Peace Depends On It *
Girl, I totally understand how overwhelming decluttering can be. But maybe you need a new perspective on fall cleaning. You’re not just decluttering.
You’re creating a sanctuary for peace and tranquility. You deserve a space that is warm and inviting, and that’s hard to achieve in a cluttered home. Sometimes, when I’m in a funk, so to speak, I look around my house and remember that I don’t function well in a cluttered space.
Once I start to clean my house and my whole mood changes for the better. It’s almost immediate. And if you can’t clean the whole house, at least have one space in my house that is clean and tidy and use that as a retreat.
Remember, we aren’t doing the all-or-nothing mindset anymore. Just do what you can and give yourself grace on the rest.
Struggling to declutter? A Decluttering Journal or Household Planner can help you focus on the task at hand. And be sure to check out my post on how to declutter when you’re overwhelmed because it’s packed with tips that will get you on track!
* 3. Plan Fall Meals and Snacks in Advance*
Meal planning is something that I struggle with daily but it’s so important. If meal planning is not your forte, you can check out my lazy girl meal planning post! I wrote that post when I had some meal planning clarity for once. And now, I go to it periodically to remember all the good ideas I had for that one day.
One thing you can do is look up some fall crock pot, dump and go recipes, When you are as scatterbrained as me, you need recipes to be as simple and fool proof as possible.
I also have a Weight Loss Meal Planner that will help you not only with meal planning but also meal prepping so be sure to check it out!

Don’t get carried away by the calmness of fall and fail to prepare for the holiday storm right ahead.
Want to avoid feeling overwhelmed in the months ahead? Review your finances in the Fall, track your spending, and make a budget for the Christmas holidays.
Your budget doesn’t have to be extravagant. If you need help budgeting for the holidays, my ADHD budget planner will help you with that for sure!
* 5. Write a Fall Bucket List That Feeds Your Soul *
What’s the ultimate fall bucket list? A list of activities that are restful, fun, and spiritually revitalizing.
- Go for a meditative walk in nature
- Visit a pumpkin patch or apple orchard
- Write in a gratitude or prayer journal
- Make a “cozy corner” in your home where you actually want to relax and recharge.
These are the fall activities that truly matter. The activities that uplift and improve the quality of your life.
* 6. Walk Daily and Talk to God Along the Way *
The weather is perfect for walking. What’s more perfect is making every walk an opportunity to talk to God.
Worship God, talk to Him about your plans, listen for His voice, all while getting your daily 15-minute exercise. I even do this while I’m doing a YouTube walking video. I listen to the workout video on a low volume, and then I listen to a devotional at the same time.
You see, a truly healthy walk benefits both your body and your spirit.
* 7. Reset Your Schedule to Include Rest & Reflection *
This fall, try switching up your schedule with faith-based fall routines that include rest and reflection.
Are you committed to too many things? Slow things down. Revisit your schedule and take away potentially draining activities.
Include more self-care activities. Rest and reflect. Make Sabbath a daily routine. Don’t feel guilty for taking time for yourself. If you don’t, you will burn out and you won’t be able to help anyone else in that state.
* 8. Create a Fall Prayer Strategy *
Pray differently this season. Make a list of 3 to 5 things that you’ll pray about consistently. Get a Prayer Journal like this one to keep track of them, and pray them with faith.
Some things to consider praying about include your health, family, finances, relationships, goals, and your Christian walk.
* 9. Do a 30-Day Fall Challenge *
Fall is a great time to challenge yourself, achieve something you couldn’t in the earlier parts of the year, and build a positive habit.
Some challenges to try in the fall include
- A gratitude challenge
- Bible reading challenge
- Mindfulness challenge
- Kindness challenge
- Savings challenge
And anything else that God leads you to try.
Make sure to set an achievable goal and track it. A mindset growth planner or faith journal can help you stay on track with your goal, depending on what you choose.
