Christian Gratitude Affirmations For Your Gratitude Journal
Have you struggled to complain? No? Yeah, me either.
In fact, complaining and being discontented with your life is one of the easiest things to do. And yet, as Christian women, we are called by Christ to be grateful and thankful for our blessings. But this is can be hard to do so what can we do to make gratitude come a little bit easier?
Well, one of the best ways to quickly remind yourself of what you should be grateful for is by keeping gratitude affirmations in your journal.
Have you heard the hymn that says, count your blessings…name them one by one and it’ll surprise you what the Lord has done?
Well, there’s a reason why this song was written…and why gratitude is mentioned so often in the Bible. I’ve learned through the years that one of the ways to live a more fulfilled life is to first show gratitude for the things I already have.
If you struggle with having a spirit of gratitude, don’t worry! Today, I’ll share with you some Christian gratitude affirmations and how they can help you cultivate a grateful heart.

– What Are Christian Gratitude Affirmations
Christian gratitude affirmations are positive statements that express thankfulness and appreciation to God.
They can be used as part of regular prayer or meditation, or simply spoken aloud as a way to focus on the many blessings in our lives.
By affirming our gratitude to God, we open ourselves up to His love and grace and allow His peace and joy to enter our hearts.
Do you remember David in the Bible? He’s one good example of someone who was always full of gratitude to God. He loved to delight himself in God and the Bible often tells us of how he danced and praised God with psalms, both openly and privately.
The truth is it’s easy to thank God when everything is going on well in your family, work, and life. But when difficulties arise you may forget to be grateful for the many blessings you enjoyed.
And then, before you know it, you start to walk around looking all sad and disappointed. Just think about the Israelites in the Old Testament. How many times did they forget everything that God had done for them? I’m convinced that they all needed to start a gratitude journal but I digress!
(Of course, I’m not really judging the Israelites from back in the day because let’s face it…I display the same attitude towards God way too much to be trying to get the speck out of their eyes!)
– How To Use Christian Gratitude Prompts & Affirmations In Your Journal
Have you ever met someone who just cannot stop complaining? There’s always something negative in their talk and they find it hard to see the good in anything.
Such people have little or no knowledge of the power of gratitude affirmations, and rarely do they achieve anything of significance in life.
Don’t be like that. Don’t let the devil trick you into complaining, there’s a more excellent way!
Next, I’ll show you how to use Christian affirmations in your journal.

– Christian Gratitude Affirmations To Write In Your Journal
Okay my loves, get a piece of paper out and a pen. Then you can start writing these Christian gratitude affirmations followed by some examples of how they have been true in your own life!
1) God has brought me through a hard time in my life
I’ve had my fair share of challenging circumstances or what you call hard times and often I wonder how I actually went through it.
If it wasn’t for God who was on my side, I would never have made it this far.
If you’re going through a hard time, don’t shut God out. He’ll bring you out of it and give you a new song to sing.
On the other hand, if you’ve overcome difficult times in your life, it is something to be grateful to God.
Can you now remember any difficult situation that God brought you out of in the past? Thank Him for it in your gratitude journal.
2) God has saved me
Even if it was only you that needed salvation, Jesus still would have died for you. Think about that. God wanted a relationship with us, as unworthy as we are, but knew the only way that could happen is if Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
And Christ Jesus was willing to do that not only to please His Father but also because He loved us. Wow! Sometimes the depth of that hits me harder than other times and it makes me so grateful to be His child! Write in your journal how thankful that makes you feel!
If anything tries to make you feel dissatisfied, think of the many battles God fights on your behalf, including the one for our souls. Also, write about the times He saved you from accidents, and other misfortunes and thank Him for it.
3) God has given me the wisdom to avoid a certain situation or relationship
The best feeling ever is knowing that God is on your side and has your best interest at heart.
Can you remember any time when you were so sure God was the one showing you how to avoid a horrible situation?
Perhaps you were in church or maybe it happened while studying your bible – A message or scripture stood out for you and gave you the wisdom you needed to overcome.
Some people even say things like, ‘It felt like that Preacher knows what I’m going through.’
Well, that was actually God speaking to you through the minister. While these things might seem little, not everyone has the opportunity you have to be guided by God’s wisdom.
Journaling about it helps you recall and inspires gratitude in your heart instead of complaints.
4) God has given me a new outlook on life
Believe it or not, reading this gratitude journaling guide may have started a new chapter for you.
If you start using these gratitude affirmations, you will begin to have a fresh outlook on life and start seeing areas where you need to make adjustments.
God blesses you through His word and inspires people to write guides like this in ways that you can understand. And He still ensures you find them.
Consider yourself blessed and thank God profusely for helping you see life better and differently.
5) God loves me
Knowing that God loves you should give you the courage to face life and whatever circumstances may come your way.
If you’ve ever felt unloved let me remind you that God sees all things and loves you, flaws and all. Write it boldly in your gratitude journal – God loves (put your name there). And live with this confidence daily.
