Whether I’m neurodivergent or not, this brain that I’ve been blessed (oh how I want to put blessed in quotation marks but I won’t) with, has certainly challenged me far beyond what I would have preferred.

But God has been walking with me through it all and I hope to share some tips with you that will be helpful in your own mental health journey.

I totally get that. And to be honest, I can sort of relate. Continue reading

5-Minute Self-Care Ideas: Quick and Easy Ways to Boost Your Well-Being

Imagine sliding into a warm delicious-smelling bubble bath after a long day at work. Or curling up on the couch with your favorite mystery as you try to figure out whodunit.

But let’s be real, when you’re a busy woman working full time you don’t feel like you have time for self-care of any kind.

And I feel like the older I get the more I feel guilty for wanting to do anything I consider to be fun or not productive.

Being over 35 is a trip ain’t it? But the thing is, you shouldn’t feel guilty for “indulging “ in self-care or even feel like you don’t have time.

If you’re anything like me then you’re on a glow up journey too. I love personal development and trying to grow as a woman with each passing year.

However, for the rest of this year, I plan to kick it up a notch.

With the help of my glow-up and self-care journal (more on that later), I’ve been taking notes and documenting my inner and outer glow-up journey instead of just winging it like I normally do.

Self Discovery Morning Journal Prompts to Help You Find Yourself

I don’t know about you but I feel like the world is constantly trying to put me in a box of some sort. If you’re black then you should think this way. If you’re a woman you should feel that way.

It gets a little old and you might feel the same way! I am a woman who is trying to become more of who God wants me to be but it can be hard to find your identity in a society that wants to pigeonhole you.

So what you have to do is deliberately use tools like self-discovery journaling so that your true self doesn’t fade. Now I personally believe that everyone should find the core of their identity in Christ but I know many people don’t agree.

However, that is the frame of mind I was in when I created these prompts and I hope you’ll stick around no matter what! Because I believe these self-discovery journal prompts will help anyone no matter what they believe.

And of course you could use these prompts at any time of the day. However, I believe using them in the morning will set you up for a successful and productive day!

And I know you may be there thinking, well starting the day with these prompts is easier said than done considering how much you have to juggle through daily.

But let me remind you that it’s possible. I face the same challenges myself and one of the ways I’ve learned to keep my sanity and get my life back on track is by using self-discovery journal prompts.

Plus, I’ll explain what I believe “becoming that girl” really means!

I encourage you to follow me closely as I share with you tips that can help you discover yourself and take control of your life and emotions.Continue reading
