There is no denying that it is quite easy to feel stretched and overwhelmed when life is pulling you in so many different directions that you feel like you have no time to breathe.
Between church, work, family, and the chaos of your daily life, you can feel like you’re at your wits’ end. Especially if every minute is being accounted for.

Prayer journaling provides a powerful and peaceful way to reset, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It creates a platform to be still, reflect, and reconnect with God.
When your heart feels overwhelmed, here are a few calming prompts you can leverage to find peace again as you write one word at a time.

This journaling prompt allows you to invite God into your heart and calm all the mental noise you’re experiencing.
When you write this prayer journal prompt, I encourage you to write out all your current responsibilities or burdens. This releases you from every stress as you commune with God through writing.
Like Psalm 46:10 tells us to “Be still and know that he’s God.” He will be exalted above everything; he will come through regardless of all the noise and confusion you’re going through; he will help you out.
* 2. God, What Needs My Attention Today? *
Amid the chaos and responsibilities, it could be difficult to stay calm and focus on one thing or the other. This prompt provides journaling to feel centered.
It helps you declutter your mind by prioritizing prayer. When you write exactly how you feel, you prioritize what exactly you need to do.
The Bible in Proverbs 3:5 (MSG) tells you to “Trust God from the depths of your heart.” Don’t try to figure everything out on your own.

Some days, the busyness of the day hits you like a whirlwind. You’re juggling between all of these different tasks and your emotions are running high. In the midst of it all, you can look up to God and ask for His peace that brings calm to all the storms in your heart.
Pick up your journal and write a simple heartfelt prayer, like “Dear Father, please calm my anxious thoughts. Help me to feel Your presence today.”
In addition to your prayer, pen down this verse to reflect on and meditate on. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.”

He is with you, and he will continue to be with you.
* Keep Showing Up *
You don’t need grammatically correct sentences or long paragraphs to connect with God.
