11 Easy Steps To Get Your Life (Somewhat) Together
Why Some Progress Is Better Than None
Everyone talks about getting your life together, but it may not seem like a walk in the park from where you’re standing. There’s so much to do, and you probably don’t have the time for a life overhaul.
I get it. The pressure can be a lot. So, I’ve put together some easy steps to help you get your life together. You don’t have to do it all at once. Getting your life ‘somewhat’ together is a good start especially if you feel like you’re a hot mess (you’re not but you may feel like one, and that’s ok).
These low-pressure, practical life reset tips will help you regain control of your life one area at a time until you truly have it together.

* Create a Prayer Playlist on YouTube *

YouTube is an amazing platform to keep your spiritual life going. Make a prayer playlist including prayers that speak directly to the areas of your life you want to see change. I recommend a Christian life improvement channel like Daily Effective Prayer.
Play the selected prayers daily and pray along until those words of faith consume your mind, health, finances, or relationships. It’s like giving your spirit a pep talk.
* Take Your Vitamins Daily*
Let’s admit it. A lot of the time, we don’t eat right. That’s why vitamins are really important for women. Get a daily supplement or vitamin based on your doctor’s recommendation and fill the gaps in your nutrition.
Your body deserves to be nourished, no matter how busy or hard life gets.
* Declutter One Small Area Weekly*
You don’t need to dive into decluttering the entire house. Start small and focus on one area every week; maybe a table or drawer. You’ll be surprised at how much you’d have achieved in a month without stress. One of the issues I have with decluttering is feeling like I have to organize an entire room.
But you don’t even have to declutter an area as big as a closet. Give yourself a break. If decluttering is overwhelming for you, you can literally just pick one item to donate or throw away every week.
If you do it every week, that’s 52 items gone from your house that would otherwise be collecting dust in a corner. But if you can do more, then go for it. Do 1 item daily and that’s 365 items gone in one year! Your house will be company-ready at all times!
* Use a planner or habit tracker to jot one goal per day *

Sometimes, there’s just so much to do that we end up overwhelmed and don’t achieve anything. This is where a habit tracker or a planner comes in handy. It helps you write down simple life organization ideas and build accountability without feeling overwhelmed.
Write a single goal you plan to achieve every day and work towards it. You could also make a long-term plan using a Personal Growth planner and then break it into simple daily steps.
* Listen to uplifting audio while doing chores*
I have turned my chores into a more uplifting activity by always listening to uplifting audios as I work. I assure you that it’ll turn those mundane moments into something meaningful.
Listen to an audiobook about an important aspect of your life, e.g, health, finances, or personal development.I just started I’m listening to the audiobook Start Late, Finish Rich by David Bach and it’s already helping me rethink my retirement situation.
You can also listen to an audio bible and catch up on your bible reading.
Or play an audio devotional and get your moments of meditation while you wash dishes.
* Plan one simple, healthy meal per day*
Moving eating from a mindless act to something more intentional. This doesn’t mean spending long hours in the kitchen.
Shop for some grab-and-go healthy meals or easy prep meals that can be ready in a few minutes.
A meal planner helps you plan your meals and ensures you don’t run out of ideas or return to an unhealthy meal pattern. You can take a look at my printable meal planner here!
* Take a 5-minute movement break *
I know how it feels to get so busy you neglect exercise and physical fitness, but it just comes back to bite you later. So, instead of waiting until you have time to get a gym membership card, take 5 minutes to move your body every day.
Use your chair for some chair stretches, get a yoga mat for mini yoga, or just take a 5-minute walk between tasks. The most important thing is to keep your body moving.
* Spend 2 minutes journaling gratitude or victories *
A positive mindset is one of the strongest tools when aiming for personal growth. If you harbor negativity and self-doubt, you’ll be stopping yourself even before you get started.
I recommend gratitude journaling every day. Take 2 minutes to write down little things you’re grateful for in your faith journal and small wins you want to celebrate in your Mindset Growth Planner.
* Forgive or release one small frustration daily *
You need healthy emotions as much as you need a healthy body. But when people hurt you, it is often difficult to forgive, so we let the hurt fester. But the truth is, we’re only hurting ourselves and losing our peace. I know it sounds cliché but it really is true.
I mean, unless you plan to confront or get revenge on the person who hurt you (which I don’t recommend), the anger is just eating away at you and you alone. The person who hurt you may not even know you’re upset.
So, be intentional about letting go of one frustration daily or forgiving a hurt. Don’t wait for the offender to apologize; let it go for your peace of mind, to gain emotional and mental clarity, and create room for positive emotions. I know forgiveness is easier said than done so I pray that these journaling prompts on how to forgive will bring you the peace that you need!
* Review finances once a week *
Have you lost track of your finances? Don’t know where your money goes or why you’re in debt? A weekly financial review will help you make sense of it all.
Get a budget planner and track your spending, savings, and debt. Adjust your budget and cut off excesses. As you do this, take your mind away from lack and the fear of poverty. Commit your finances to God and remember that he promises to supply all your needs.
* Celebrate one small win each day *
Stay motivated and celebrate one small win every day. Some days, getting out of bed even when you’re unmotivated is a win. Eating healthy is a win. Praying and studying your bible is a win. Whatever winning means to you, celebrate it.
Progress doesn’t happen overnight, but your small, consistent actions will bring about real change.
* Why Easy Wins Work *
With every small step you take and every achievement you make, your mind is wired to believe in your ability to do even greater things. These small, achievable steps become a motivator to help you achieve all that you desire.
As you develop a confident mindset, coupled with building your faith in God through prayer and reflection, you’ll experience big wins and long-term transformation.
* How Planners & Journals Help*
I created planners and journals to be a companion on your journey and help you keep track of every plan and goal you have.
As you track your mini-goals, write down your victories, and record your reflections, they become tangible to you and help you stay driven and consistent.
The bible, in Habakkuk 2:2, encourages you to ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, that you may run when you read it.’
* What Steps Will You Take To Get Your Life Together *
Now’s the time to take action. Don’t be afraid, and don’t doubt your ability to achieve these things. Take a step of faith by choosing a few steps to begin today.
No matter how little progress you make, you’ll still be better off than where you started.
Use a Mindset Growth planner to track your practical life reset tips and celebrate every victory as you go.
You can do it!
