For Christian women, journaling is not merely a creative activity. It is a spiritual practice that helps you stay motivated and inspired to forge ahead.
In this post, we will explore 5 journal lists tailored to enhance productivity and help you manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
The Benefits of Journaling for Productivity
Let me start by demystifying the myth of journaling only being about writing. Yes, you write, but it’s more than that.
It is a powerful and practical tool everyone can leverage to help you stay focused and on track to achieving your dreams and goals.
When you adopt journaling as a lifestyle it helps you become more productive. Productivity journaling enables you to create a structured plan you can use to reach your task and target, while also achieving your dream/goals.
Incorporating productivity journaling into your daily routine ensures you lead a more organized and fulfilling life.

Setting goals is a powerful tool that motivates and drives you as an individual both long-term and short-term.
Having goals gives you a sense of purpose and drives you to take action. It also helps you measure and track your progress, inspiring you to do better where necessary.

How To Get Started With Productivity Journaling
As Christian women, increasing productivity is a no-brainer. If you are not productive you will be idle.
The Bible in Proverbs 16:27 says an idle hand is the devil’s workshop (link). So, we have no choice but to be productive.
The good thing however is that it is quite easy. Christian journaling for productivity is no different from every style of journaling; the foundations are the same.
You need a book and a pen to start. Or if you’re like me, you can start a digital productivity journal. I created an amazing productivity journal in the digital app called Trello for my to-do lists and goals.
I call it my Ultimate Life & Business Planners and I put everything that I want to accomplish or achieve inside.
I haven’t created a product for it just yet but I might in the future because I think it could help so many people get organized and be productive without feeling overwhelmed.
With that said, like with every kind of journaling, you need to cultivate a habit or build a routine for your journaling whether you choose a paper or a digital journal.
Have a fixed time (ha ha ha…with my ADHD-addled brain that doesn’t really happen), be consistent (again do as I say not as I do lol), and don’t worry about being perfect, it’s a marathon, not a sprint.
There are many resources and tools you can use to start a successful productive journal. From digital tools like Todoist, and my favorite app, Trello, to physical tools like Bullet Journal, there is a lot to help you in your endeavors.
How Productive Journaling Has Helped Me
Journaling has helped many individuals take great leaps when it comes to productivity, not least of all me. There was a time when I literally got nothing done. Okay, maybe not literally but I felt like I didn’t accomplish much.
My head was all over the place. I didn’t have a set place for my to do list, goals, and plans for the week. I’d write my tasks on any little piece of paper I could find because I needed to write down that task before I forgot about it.
Of course, that didn’t really help because I would often lose that piece of paper in the bottom of my tote-sized purse or in the crevices of my car.
Like the infomercials say, I knew there had to be a better way. So I started looking for productivity apps and after deleting several apps that did absolutely nothing for me, I found Trello.
I’ve been using it ever since and that’s been about 6 or 7 years ago if not more. It’s not for everyone but for some reason, the layout of the app clicked with my brain and we had a love match right away.
If I had met Trello on Tinder I would have swiped right. I’ve put my life in the hands of Trello and if it was ever discontinued I might actually need therapy (not a joke). Since I’ve been using Trello, I have been able to accomplish so much more than I did without it.
I also journal in Trello and I reflect on what has gone right or wrong in my week and I brainstorm ways I can improve the next week. I think what I love so much is how easy it is to customize. Anywho, if you haven’t tried Trello, you can click here and try it for free.
This is not a sponsored or an affiliate link. I just hope it helps you like it’s helped me. I also have a Bible study journal and a glow-up fitness journal I’ve created using Trello that are available in my shop.
You can also start journaling and planning to attain a level of productivity that will amaze you. You can develop a routine that works for you. It might not be perfect at the start but begin from somewhere and gradually you will see results.
