Are you down financially and don’t feel the strength to say a prayer to get out of debt?
Perhaps you’ve found yourself in what seems like a never-ending cycle of unpaid bills.
Maybe you just had a car wreck.
A terrible divorce.
A loved one who’s very sick needs quality and costly health care.
Perhaps you made a poor financial decision that’s too late to reverse.
Whatever the case may be, I know it’s easy to feel hopeless and like there’s no way out.
I’ve been in a dark place financially too, and the last thing I wanted to do was pray. I found myself blaming God for my financial state, “Couldn’t He have stopped me before it got this bad? Does He not know I’m having it tough financially… I continued on and on.
But I have a merciful Heavenly Father, He knew I was only acting out because of the challenges I was going through, and in His mercy, He found me and helped me cry to Him genuinely.
Friends, no matter how dire your financial situation may seem, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and a God that can still turn things around in your favor.
He’s your heavenly Father; He sees your struggles and wants to help.
He’s inviting you to humble yourself before Him and ask for His financial blessings. He will answer and bestow.
In this guide, I’m going to give you some things to pray for that can give you the help you’re seeking.

Before you start praying over your finances, I highly recommend you start a financial prayer journal.
What is a financial prayer journal?
Well, a prayer journal is just a notebook, journaling printable, or a simple Google doc that you dedicate as a special place to write your prayers.

Of course, you can pray over anything you want but in this particular case, you would be praying over your debt situation.
So that’s the first step…just decide where you want to write your financial prayers. Then you would either write your own financial prayer or you can write down (or copy and paste) the prayers that I’m going to share with you today in your prayer journal.
Then you would pray your financial prayer as much as you want. You can speak it out loud. Or maybe you could keep writing down the prayer every day. One thing I like to do in my prayer journal is updated it with any new developments in that area.
I will add today’s date and then write down any answered prayers or changes that have happened since I last prayed. This is a good way to track your situation and see how God has blessed you in your prayer journey!

Are you in debt? Feeling like there’s no way out? It can be difficult to keep your head up when it seems like you’re drowning in bills. But don’t lose hope! God is always with us, even in our darkest times.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you today asking for help. I am in debt, and I feel like I am drowning.
I feel like there is no way out, and I am struggling to make ends meet. I don’t know how to get out, and I need Your help. Please bless me with the financial resources I need to get out of debt.
Help me to be wise with my money and to make good decisions.
Guide me and give me Your wisdom. I know that with Your help, all things are possible.
Thank you because I know you’ve heard me. I ask all of this in Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

If you are struggling financially, it can feel like there is no end in sight. Praying for financial wisdom and knowledge can help you get back on track and stay out of debt in the future.

Dear Lord,
I am struggling financially, and I need Your help. I know that I can make it through this tough time with Your guidance.
Please give me the wisdom and knowledge to make sound financial decisions so that I can have the tools needed to stay out of debt in the future. Help me to be a good steward of the money You have entrusted to me.
Give me the discipline to stay within my budget and not to live beyond my means. Help me to be content with what I have and not covet what others have.
Lord, I know that You care about me and want what is best for me. Please help me to overcome my financial struggles. Amen.

If you are dealing with financial issues, know that you are not alone. Many Christians face difficult financial times at some point in their lives. But thank God we have a heavenly Father that hears us and is willing to help us.
He’s interested in the minutest details about you.
You can turn your financial situation around by inviting God into your financial plan and asking Him for help.

Dear God,
I am feeling overwhelmed by my finances. I don’t know where to start or what to do. I feel lost and scared. But I know that You are always with me and that You love me. So I am turning to You for help.
Please give me wisdom as I create a financial plan, a budget, and effective financial goals. Help me to be diligent and disciplined with my spending. Give me the wisdom to make wise decisions about my finances in Jesus’ name.

When your finances seem to be going bad, you probably don’t want to say a prayer to get out of debt. Sometimes we even want to hide from God as Adam and Eve did in the garden. But God wants us to come as we are, flaws and all, and humble ourselves before Him.
He wants us to admit our wrongs and talk to Him about our troubles. As you invite and ask for God’s financial blessings, have faith that He will hear you and work out a financial miracle for you.
He loves you unconditionally, and He’s willing to provide for you.
