Category Archives for "Tips & Lessons From My Mental Health Journey"

This has definitely been one of the biggest challenges of my life but in some ways one of my biggest successes (but only because of Christ because on my own, there’s no telling where I’d be).

I have overcome depression. Anxiety…it still creeps up its little ugly head but I’ve got some tools now to push Anxious Ally back down when I need to (or just ignore her altogether…whatever works).

I strongly suspect I have ADHD but since I don’t have an official diagnosis, I won’t claim it. I’ll just say the symptoms are very strong with this one.

Whether I’m neurodivergent or not, this brain that I’ve been blessed (oh how I want to put blessed in quotation marks but I won’t) with, has certainly challenged me far beyond what I would have preferred.

But God has been walking with me through it all and I hope to share some tips with you that will be helpful in your own mental health journey.

A Powerful Prayer (& Solutions) To Overcome A Toxic Work Environment That Has Become Unbearbale!

Prayers For A Toxic Work Environment That Has Become Unbearable!

I used to hate going to work when I started my first real job. Why? Because I was having ummm, how shall we say, difficulties at work with my supervisor.

And because of that, I went to work with a feeling of anxiety and dread in my stomach. If you’ve ever worked in a toxic work environment then you understand what I mean. You may love what you’re actual job entails but you struggle to love the people you work with.

I know that Jesus has told us to love everyone but frankly some people don’t make it easy. It is what it is.

But even still that’s what we are supposed to do. So what are some ways we can lovingly deal with people at work who we might just want to toss into the river (okay I don’t mean that literally, of course)?

I have some ideas and also a prayer that you can write down and say before and during work so that no one gets hurt lol

Girl, sometimes I just don’t wanna do anything. I have all these goals and dreams and it seems like they’re right there within reach but you just get burned out from trying to accomplish them.

Can you relate? You just don’t really want to try anymore.

You don’t feel motivated and start to lose faith that you’re on the right track or that you’ll ever succeed. That’s how exactly how I’ve felt so many times before.

I know that when I’ve played my one-millionth game of Project Makeover (give or take a few), I need to snap out of it and try a new approach.

Naturally, it makes sense for me to turn to my first love which is writing.

When you need a mindset shift in a hurry, journaling (and prayer) is one of the best things you can do!

We all get burnt out, uninspired, and mentally exhausted sometimes but we don’t always understand why.

Mindset journaling is a boss at revealing all of the reasons why we might be feeling this way.

Overcoming Fear with Faith: 5 Practical Tips To Let Go & Let God

Fear used to be my go-to emotion in any situation. I wasn’t always like that but over time, the devil assisted me in becoming addicted to anxiety.

Maybe you can relate…

Have you ever been too afraid to try something because you fear failing again?

Been there done that (still do at times!)

Have fearful thoughts deprived you of all the liberty you should enjoy as a Christian woman?

Do you feel held back because you fear that you’ll make a grave mistake?

Maybe you’re starting to believe those nagging thoughts that tell you you’ll never be good enough at anything you do.

What about when you’ve prepared adequately for your presentation, but you’re afraid you’ll look like a fool in front of so many? (Ugh, I’ve so been there and done that…embarrassingly so).

“When will I ever be good enough? When will I ever be free to live truly, love, and laugh?”

Does that sound like you?

Do you sense that being afraid is costing you joy, fulfillment, accomplishments, stability, and some extra peace of mind?

If this resonates with you, trust me when I say it resonates so much with me cos that’s the exact person I used to be… till I discovered the secrets of overcoming fear with faith.

I know you want a change…and I hope that the tips I’m going to share with you today will be the beginning of that change.

Fear is not something that overwhelms me constantly like it once did.

Yes, I still suffer from it but it’s not a constant companion like it once was.

If fear and anxiety are something that you want freedom from, I encourage you to read over these words and begin to implement them into your life!

You can check out the contents below to see what’s in store!

Plus be sure to see how you can get a FREE printable & digital Bible study journaling bundle that you can use on your journey to live anxiety free!
