– Why Keep A Travel Journal

If you’re a frequent traveler then you probably know how easy it is to remember which funny thing happened on which trip and what year it was.

I was reminiscing with my family about a funny story where we got busted by the owners of a condo because we weren’t ready to get out in time.

But we couldn’t remember what year it was and which beach it was. That’s when a travel journal comes in handy.

It’s a brilliant way to write down all of your trip’s memorable events. This way you don’t have to rack your brain every time you want to remember something awesome that happened on your trip!

How Traveling Boosts Your Mental Health

Believe it or not, traveling is a great way to boost your mental health! Now, it does depend on a few factors. You actually need to enjoy traveling itself and like who you’re traveling with.

And of course, the destination is important as well.

However, if all of these aspects are in place, going on an adventure is a wonderful way to improve the mental health challenges you are facing! How does traveling help your mental state though? Well for one it gives you something exciting to look forward to.

Also going to the beach, mountains, or a retreat somewhere gives your brain and body the needed release from the stresses of everyday life.

And then after it’s over, you can reflect on your trip and all of its happy memories.

If you’re ever in the midst of a bad day, take a moment to think about some happy memories from a trip you’ve taken.

I promise you it can help get you through the rest of your day. It’s worked plenty of times for me! Vacations are truly the gifts that keep on giving!
