Hey ya’ll,
Have you taken a look at your diet lately? Perhaps you have and found it to be less than stellar.
I can certainly relate.
If you’ve been researching things like healthy eating, plant-based diets, flexitarian diets then you’ve probably come across the term superfoods.
And while you may have heard of superfoods what you may not have heard of are superfood powders.
So I’m going to talk about that today because what I think you’ll find is that superfood powders are a lot easier to fit into your diet than superfoods themselves and they still make a huge difference in your health.
Let’s get a little sneak peek at what’s coming up in this blog post.
We’re going to talk about:
– What superfoods are
– What superfood powders are
– Do superfood powders work
– Awesome superfood powders to try
-How to get more of them into your diet.
Plus I have a free healthy living resource library full of things that I believe you will love so stay tuned for that coming up later as well.
Now let’s get started.
Hey y’all,
Colds seem to follow me on every vacation I ever go on! And the flu decided one year it was best to show up during my Christmas break.
Do you struggle with colds, the flu, and sinus infections showing up at the worst times?
There truly is no great time to get a cold but it seems to me sicknesses purposely chooses to make an appearance right before a big event or occasion.
I myself am just getting over a cold and because of that I wanted to share some things that you can do to actually keep from getting sick in the first place.
Yes, that’s right. Colds don’t have to be an eventuality. Doing these 5 things really quickly actually works. I have either done them myself or I have heard of other people doing them. Continue reading
3 Lazy Girl Hacks Stay Healthy While Traveling Even If You Always Overeat & Get Sick!
I know I’m not the only one.
I be living it up on vacation, food-wise especially. Late morning, late nights, dessert whenever, cheese galore.
I’m not even trying to count calories or track my meals on my WW app.
However, bc diabetes is a reality on both sides of my family and I was prediabetic at one time I can’t go too crazy.
I still have to be aware of my health goals and not forget that my blood sugar could go haywire at any moment.
So because of that, there are certain things that we can do while we are on vacay to keep ourselves (sort of) healthy(ish).
And not only that but I used to get a cold when I went on vacation! Go figure! So frustrating. So I also wanted to find some ways to prevent sickness while I traveled.
These are the ideas I’ve used to keep sickness at bay, be “health-conscious” and still have fun while I travel! And luckily none of them are really that hard to do…so let’s see what they are!
In the last post, I talked about the top 3 most powerful essential oils that you can use to aid you in your weight loss journey.
But, I didn’t tell you how you use them which is kind of important.
So that’s what we are going to focus on in this post because if you don’t know how to use these essential oils properly, you could put yourself in danger.
We don’t want that. Plus, if you are feeling some type of way about using essential oils internally please consult a doctor or just read this post for entertainment.
Or if you’re okay with ingesting essential oils (safely!) make sure that your oils are legit.
No matter whether you decide to use essential oils for weight loss or not, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!Continue reading
Best Natural Alternatives To Metformin To Reverse Prediabetes
Did you know that there are natural alternatives to Metformin & that it’s possible to reverse prediabetes?
I know I know…when I was diagnosed with prediabetes I just knew that it was inevitable that I would eventually get diabetes mellitus.
And I had heard for years from my grandmother how serious diabetes is and how you don’t want to get it and on and on.
So when a nurse practitioner at my clinic told me I was prediabetic, I was so scared. But then I got to work to see what I could do to reverse it and to get off of Metformin which they put me on.
Right now as I’m writing this I’m “suffering” with a stuffy nose.
I can deal with every other cold symptom pretty well but a stuffy nose thing is the worst ( probably has something to do with that whole needing to breathe to live thing).
Anywho, because I abhor having a blocked nose I’ve come up with some ways to make it more bearable at the very least.
If you’re reading this you’re probably desperate for something to try that will help so let me get on with it.Continue reading
Whoa, ya’ll!
Mind blown seriously.
Like you, I have always heard that the link between sleep and weight loss was important.
It shows up in many of the “37 ways to lose weight” articles.
It’s usually number 17 or somewhere in the middle of the pack and I personally just gloss right over it because, sleep is not really that big of a deal, right?
I mostly figured that they were just trying to pad their list article to make it longer.
There’s a more “nefarious” reason why I’ve always glossed over the sleep suggestion too.
Do you have super dry skin on your body like I do?
I’ve had dry skin as long as I can remember and I’m always looking for some more home remedies to help alleviate this desert that I call my skin
That’s because skincare matters a lot to me. Ain’t no shame in my game.
And I don’t know why. Maybe in the big scheme of things, it doesn’t matter but I still care.
Maybe it’s because we have to look at it all the time.
Maybe it’s because we can’t help but compare ours to others but whatever the reason, we can sometimes obsess about the state of our skin.
The skincare industry is a billion-dollar industry and for good reason.
Our skin is our largest and most noticeable organ.
No matter how much I wished we only got judged by the content of our character or by our actions, we still (especially women) get judged by our beauty and skincare is a big part of that.
I used to watch YouTube videos that would show women doing a 10 step skincare routine every night and 20-minute shower routines.
Their skin was glowing and beautiful no doubt but after I got off from work and started writing, running my blogs, cooking dinner, and cleaning, I don’t always want to invest that much time in my skincare.
