“What? I’ve regained 20 pounds! What happened?!”
Have you ever been in a situation where you made it to your goal weight only to find six months to a year later that you gain all that weight back and then some?

Hope is one of the most beautiful words in the English language because it inspires you and motivates you to keep going.
When you have hope you believe that things could turn around and your situation could improve.
With hope you believe the challenges you’re facing can be overcome and that if you just have faith things will get better.

Losing weight can sometimes feel like you’re getting out of quicksand.
The harder you fight to pull yourself out of the pit the further down you sink.
I sometimes find that I’m in this constant cycle of eating healthy then falling off the wagon and then eating healthy again and then falling off the wagon and then…well, you get the picture.

Once again you step on the scale only to be disappointed. You actually lost weight but only 1 pound… definitely not what you hoped.

Has trying to lose weight got you losing your mind? Does it seem like no matter what you try, you can’t lose weight? In this post, I identify some little-discussed barriers that block you from losing weight.
I remember a few years back when I thought I was trying everything possible to lose weight.
And I come to the conclusion that it wasn’t me.
I must have some underlying condition that’s preventing me from losing weight.
Or so I thought.
So I went to a doctor with a list of symptoms to prove to her that something was wrong with me. I was convinced that I had hypothyroidism and I had all the signs to prove it.
Or so I thought.
And this was why I could not lose weight.
Or so I thought.
But that wasn’t true. That was merely the excuse I was making to avoid dealing with the real reasons why I wasn’t losing weight. Turns out I did not have hypothyroidism.
And guess what? I was actually disappointed.
Imagine being disappointed that you don’t have a serious underlying medical condition so that you can use it as an excuse for your inability to lose weight.
Now it’s possible that you do you have a serious condition that makes it harder to lose weight.

Are you making a weight loss plan for next year?
Researching different diets and meal plans to see which one you want to try? I feel you.
I’m doing the same although I know it’s a danger to say I’m going on a diet.
I’m just going to continue to make a series of dietary lifestyle changes until I reach my goal weight.
What’s amazing though is that there are definitely some surprisingly healthy and delicious foods that you can put on your grocery list ( and actually eat, even) and still lose weight.
After a 60 plus pound weight loss, I can say that I’ve never given up my favorite foods in order to lose weight.
The following foods are some of the foods that I ate as I lost weight and it has not caused me to gain my weight back.
Of course, you have to listen to your own body and see which foods work for you in your own weight loss journey.
Try these foods out and if you find your gaining or not losing weight then definitely remove them from your diet.

I have to admit I’ve been low energy here lately.
And I certainly know why. I have not been eating as healthy as I should.
I’ve been relying on convenience foods that take no time to prepare and my energy has plummeted and weight loss has stalled.
