Gift Ideas For Cooks
At this time of the year, we can feel like we are living in our kitchens.
There are so many delicious holidays coming our way but as much as I love to cook I’m not trying to be in the kitchen all day away from my friends and family slaving away in the kitchen.
So I found these cool kitchen gadgets that would be perfect for yourself or a perfect gift for your loved ones who cook but don’t necessarily want to be in the kitchen all day.
I only picked products that have 4-star reviews or more so you don’t have to worry about them not being awesome products!
Oh yeah, and this post contains affiliate links to great products that will help you in your health journey. I will get a commission if you decide to buy from these links but I’m only recommending products that I feel confident about.
Must-Have Time Saving Kitchen Tools That Will Get You Out Of the Kitchen Quicker
Oh, the agony of using a dull knife! I cannot tell you how much time I’ve wasted chopping fruits, vegetables, or whatever else using a dull knife.
But as much as I loathe using a dull knife, the idea of digging around in my cabinet navigating through the sea of unused kitchen appliance to pull out my electric knife sharpener is not working for me either (I know I know…first world problems).
That’s why I’m totally stoked about the idea of self-sharpening knives. I didn’t even know that that was a thing but I’m so glad it is.
No more would I have to wade through my junky cabinets to find my long lost sharpener.
I would just pull the knife out of the stainless steel block and procure a perfectly sharp knife every single time. Can you say win?
Here is a video showing you this knife set’s awesomeness:
I eat eggs every day. Not only are they ridiculously delicious but they are also healthy too. I usually eat mine scrambled but on rare occasions, I eat them sunny side up.
However, with the Dash egg cooker, I could be eating them hard-boiled, soft-boiled, poached, scrambled, and in omelet form.
You can even make frittatas! That’s because this little gadget can do almost anything you’d want done to an egg.
But I was looking at this thing like, how in the world does it do that? Well, it turns out that this egg cooker has different trays that allow it to magically cook your eggs any way you’d like.
But then I was still like, hmmm, I don’t know, so I had to watch a video to see how it really worked.
It’s really cool. Take a look. Plus you set a timer so it cooks your eggs perfectly every time and you don’t have to watch it.
That means you can be doing other things while your eggs are doing their things. Time saved!
Oh and something I hate more than dull knives?
Burned and overcooked eggs but in the mornings I hate having to stand there and watch them when the coffee needs to be percolated and the nutriblast needs to be blasted.
This egg cooker can get you your perfectly cooked omelet while you make your kids lunches.
This new kind of coffee was seen at coffee shops across the nation and on the grocery store shelves. The thing is you typically have to wait hours and hours for it to be ready.
In fact, you more than likely have to wait overnight before it’s ready to drink. Or you can just buy but its pretty expensive compared to regular coffee.
However, with the Dash Rapid Cold Brew Coffee Maker, you can have cold brew coffee in as little as 5 minutes. And if you want a stronger brew, like I would want, you can have it ready in 15 minutes.
Let’s see…wait overnight or wait for 15 minutes?
As long as your not sacrificing flavor, which according to the reviews you aren’t, then there’s no reason to wait longer than 15 minutes to have your cold brew coffee.
You can see how it works in this video (be sure to pay attention to how much money you save when you have a cold brew coffee maker as opposed to buying it at the restaurant:
I feel like I basically live in the kitchen during the holiday season.
If you’re not cooking for the actual holiday itself then you cooking for a party associated with a holiday or company coming over because they are in town for the holidays.
There’s always some reason to be cooking and with that comes lots of chopping, slicing, and dicing. Now there are some times when only a knife will do.
But sometimes you don’t care about knife cut. You just want your food chopped quick fast and in a hurry and that’s where a mini chopper comes in.
This one by Hamilton Beach holds 3 cups which is a good sized mini chopper. The beauty of a mini chopper is you don’t have to lug out your food processor when you only have a small amount of food to dice.
Plus this one has an oil dispenser so if you want to make homemade dressing or mayo you can do that with ease.
The Instant Pot does 10, count ’em, 10 cooking tasks so you don’t have to. It bakes cakes, makes rice, boils eggs, roasts meat. The list goes on and on.
The Instant Pot has 10 settings:
1) Pressure Cooker
6) Slow Cook
It’s no wonder that the Instant Pot flies off the shelves (digital and literal shelves).
Why just have a pressure cooker when you can have a pressure cooker and a cake, rice, meat, and multigrain cooker. It even makes yogurt. There’s not a lot culinarily that this gadget doesn’t do.
It saves you time because it can pressure cook meals in minutes.
Plus it saves you money because anytime you can avoid turning on your oven, you’re going to save money on your electricity bill.
The Instant Pot has over 1,000 positive reviews.
